Acceptable Use Policy

FireSignal delivers fire dispatch information to verified licensed Texas restoration contractors. Customer use of the service is bound by the prohibitions below. Violation may result in suspension or termination per our Terms of Service.
You must not
- Use FireSignal data or alerts to obtain or attempt to obtain homeowner contact information (name, phone, email, mailing address).
- Send unsolicited messages of any kind to property owners or residents based on FireSignal alerts.
- Knock on the door of a property under active firefighting; before 9am or after 9pm local time (Austin City Code §9-4-22); or at any time inconsistent with applicable solicitation rules.
- Act as a public insurance adjuster (Tex. Ins. Code §4102) unless separately licensed for that role; do not advise or negotiate insurance claims on behalf of insureds.
- Solicit work in a declared-disaster zone without using Tex. Bus. & Com. Code Ch. 58-compliant contract forms (no full prepayment, no disproportionate partial payment, written contract required).
- Misrepresent affiliation with first responders, the fire department, the City of Austin, or any government agency.
- Resell, redistribute, or republish webhook payloads, alert data, or any FireSignal-derived content to any third party.
- Aggregate FireSignal payloads with other data sources to enrich, score, or skip-trace property owners.
- Forward FireSignal payloads to a third-party SaaS that does any of the above.
- Share your account credentials with anyone outside your verified business organization.
Enforcement
We monitor complaints from homeowners, fire marshals, and news sources. Verified violations trigger an internal review per our complaint runbook. Outcomes range from a written warning to immediate termination without refund. Termination decisions may be appealed in writing within 7 days; founder reviews and responds within 14 days. Decisions are final.
Reporting
Anyone may report a suspected violation at getfiresignal.com/complaint. We acknowledge every report within 24 hours.
